Do not ever blindly follow anything you see online as they might provide false information- or in the case of a lot of Youtube videos- not know what they're doing and give you instructions that edit files or do other things you really should not do
I've seen far too many videos edit the files of mods or the game for no reason. If possible look for a recent text tutorial for something more reputable than a Youtube video from 2011 that's filmed using unregistered hypercam on a Windows XP machine.
This is just a bunch of personal recommendations, general information, and mod lists for Minecraft that I thought would be useful to have in a doc. so I can easily link to it without retyping why someone shouldn't use Lunar Client every time they ask for help with it
I really recommend you do research yourself before installing or following anything listed here.
